Culture Clash
Culture Clash – Can you handle the culture of the Philippines?

A new book from Bob & Feyma Martin. This book is a Bible for those who are thinking of moving to the Philippines. In my years of living in the Philippines, I have come to recognize that cultural issues are the number one thing which a foreigner (and a Filipino who has lived overseas) must overcome to make for a happy life in the Philippines! Cultural issues are often overlooked in making such a move, but in nearly every case, they are later realized to be a major issue for the person moving for a permanent life in the Philippines. Life in the Philippines is not always easy, and this book will show you what things you need to keep in mind and look out for when making such a move. This book is a compendium of much information that can be found on my website, Live in the Philippines but has been completely rearranged into an organized guide to dealing with Philippine Culture. New information which cannot be found on the site has also been added to the book as a special insight for those who purchase the book. If you are thinking of moving to the Philippines, you need this book to make sure that the Philippine Lifestyle really is for you. Before you spend the money and time required to make such a major move, spend a few days reading this book to make sure it is right for you, and how to make the critical adjustment. This books is 450+ pages, a real compendium of information on the topic, and truly a Bible for those interested in Living in the Philippines. This an electronic book, which you can download directly from this site after your order is paid and approved for download.

I am willing to bet this book is far more in-depth, current, and valuable than any paper book you can buy at a bookstore.
The wonders of e-books are the ability to have instant delivery and instant updates as the author sees fit.
I am very much looking forward to giving this a good read.
A great addition to your collection of top-notch information materials!
Thank you very much, Mike! I do strive to make the book current and on-topic with current trends in culture. BTW, thank you also for your help on the other matter which you commented upon. I have corrected the problem that you pointed out. Thanks again!
I am interested on the book ‘Culture Clash’ because I’m teaching culture as one of the major topics in Soc. Sci. 3 . I just would like to know if I can buy that book in pesos (Php).
Sure! You can pay in any currency, Salvador. At the time of checkout you get to choose what currency you pay in.
Ok I’ll probably buy the book in May 2011 or earlier. I’ll keep in touch later.
BTW, how will I PAY IT? Thru the Banco de Oro?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and Paypal.
I’ve read some of Bob’s other books about the Philippines, and I can see they are kept up to date. Many e-books are not – they are full on information that is terribly dated and not of much use. Bob is one of the good guys! Now, if he just had an affiliate program… hint hint!
Hello Blogger – Thank you for your kind words. Actually, I used to have an affiliate program, and I did for several years. In those 3 or so years I only sold one book through an affiliate. Then, I started seeing my ads on sites where I didn’t want them to be, promoting sex tourism in the Philippines and such. That is why I discontinued the program. I may try it again in the future, it’s not at the top of my priority list, though. I hope you understand why.
I understand completely. Unethical affiliates can tarnish your rep. Hey – if you only had one affiliate sale in three years, I doubt you’re losing any sleep over it!
Thanks much for the quick reply – very cool of you.
Hi Blogger – Thanks for your understanding. I think what it comes down to is that in my niche, I have so many sites of my own that are highly ranked, that people end up buying my books directly from my sites instead of others who were advertising as an affiliate.
